Coffee substitute

Here’s a good tasting, to me, hot drink for those of you who want to stop or cut down on coffee.

I can enjoy the smell of coffee and drink this. ( sometimes with a dash of coffee too.)

It’s got body and depth and you could embellish it to suit yourself.

It’s 1 part Whole earth no ca

1 part (organic) cocoa powder

1 part (organic) turmeric

2 teaspoons of cinnamon

1 teaspoon of clove powder

½ teaspoon of ginger

¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)

to a jar of the above.

Use ground spices.

I just add 2 teaspoons to a mug, then boiling water; a little oat milk; a dash of coffee((optional). Optionally sweeten with a small teaspoon of black strap molasses

Then top of the powder at the bottom of the mug with boiling water.

However, if you wanted a smoother drink, 2 teaspoons of the mix per mug of milk and some ground black pepper in a pan. Simmer stirring all the time for 3-7 minutes until the cocoa has dissolved makes a quality drink. Optional honey, molasses or sugar too.
