Echinacea augustifolia tincture

Description

Tinctures are a convient way to take strong tasting herbs. The herbal properties are extracted in to ethanol alcohol. The alcohol strengh is adjusted for each herb  to make the best extraction. We use between 20% to 90% alcohol strengh.

Dose is 5ml (1 teaspoon) in water or juice 2 or 3 times a day.

Tinctures have a long shelf life. They are best stored in a cool, dark place but do not need to be in the fridge.

Echinacea / Purple cone flower root tincture in alcohol

(Echinacea augustifolia in 45% ethanol alcohol)

This root tingles the tongue. This shows it is high in active ingredients.

It helps maintain a normal immune response with people who have a healthy immine system.

It helps reduce severity of bacterial (sepsis), viral and fungal infections.

It can be used neat externally on infected skin or cold sores.

DO NOT use with cortico steroids such as Prednisone, Cortisone. or with anti viral meds used for HIV. Methatrexate or other meds that lower your immunity like cortico steroids, Nomodipine, Organ transplant meds such as cyclosporine.

Not suitable when using Warfarin as Echinacea is a blood thinner.

If you are pregnant or breast feeding; taking multiple medications or have a serious health condition consult a herbalist before using.
